Creator Guidelines

By operating a shop, becoming an partner, or creating an account on Creatzy, you agree to abide by our legal terms. This includes our usage, user-specific, privacy, and licensing terms. Please read them carefully—they are designed to keep our members safe and happy.

In addition to the legal terms mentioned above, we’ve developed site Guidelines (see below) and Best Practices in order to help everyone have the best experience possible on Creatzy.


Creator Shop Guidelines

Listed Content for Sale

Here at Creatzy, in order to ensure that your listed products may be sold under our general license, free from potential liability, Creator Shop Owners are expected to secure the rights or proper license(s) to sell any material that incorporates third-party Intellectual Property. Not only does this protect our Creator Shop Owners, but it also helps provide peace of mind to our customers, who want to be assured their purchases are free from potential liability.

To clarify:

  • Content and listings (including product files, listing description, tags, title, etc) containing visible trademarks are prohibited, unless you are able to provide evidence of the appropriate license / direct permission from the Trademark holder stating that you may sell content featuring their brand.
  • Creatzy reserves the right to request the above information from any Creator Shop Owner found to be selling material visibly depicting a trademark.
  • Any such product(s) being sold without the appropriate license or permission may be removed without notice.

Communication & Support

Creator Shop Owners must respond within a reasonable amount of time from the Creatzy team regarding product support, customer topics, or any other issue. In general, Creator Shop Owners should respond to outreach from the Creatzy Team within one week or less. However, it is important to note that some areas of outreach by the Creatzy Team may be more time-sensitive than others, and may require a swifter response. Please make sure you can receive emails from [email protected], [email protected]and [email protected]

Successful Creator Shop owners promptly address customer inquiries and concerns, although a specific response time is not required. They usually respond within 48 hours, considering time zone differences. If a Creator Shop owner consistently fails to respond to customer complaints or to communications from the Creatzy team, their shop may be suspended or closed indefinitely.


Product Tag Usage 

Tags help customers find your products, and it is important that they accurately describe the product and not be offensive or derogatory. Misusing the name of other shop owners or artists is also prohibited. If a product is found to have a prohibited tag, it may be removed from sale until the tag is removed. Repeat violations or serious offenses can lead to further action, such as product removal or shop closure.


Product Descriptions, Titles, Screenshots, & Properties

On Creatzy, product descriptions and properties are intended to provide accurate and detailed information to customers. Misleading or inaccurate information is not allowed, and any products found to be in violation of this rule may be removed and shops may be closed. Additionally, it is not allowed to include

  • links to purchase the same product on other websites or
  • to include custom license terms.

Violation of these guidelines may result in refunds and penalties.


Licensing Compliance

On Creatzy, products can only be sold under the licenses provided by Creatzy, and attempting to make any changes to these licenses is not allowed. Creatzy’s licenses take precedence over any conflicting terms. It is also not allowed to tell customers that a specific license is included with a product purchase. Assets that are purchased and download fall under our General License agreement.


Product Files

On Creatzy, it is not allowed to include malware, files unrelated to the product, third-party EULAs, user agreements, or mandatory requests for customer contact information. Violation of these guidelines can result in products being removed by the Creatzy Team.


Bundles and Packs

As a Creator Shop owner on Creatzy, you can sell bundles or packs made up of your own products or assets. This could include a collection of graphic assets packaged together or a collection of items from your shop bundled as one product.

However, it is not allowed to curate bundles in your shop that include products from multiple Creatzy shops or outside contributors. To maintain fairness in the marketplace, Creatzy does not allow the sale of these types of bundles.


Product Sales and Special Pricing

Creatzy expects all Creator Shop Owners to make sure their sales and promotional offerings are genuine and truthful. We specifically require the following:

1. Introductory Prices & Limited Time Sales 

  • Products may not be advertised with a low introductory price if the shop owner does not intend to increase the price later on.
  • Products may not be advertised as being a limited-time product or on a limited-time sale unless the product or sale will truly only be available for a limited amount of time.
  • If a product is promoted as “on sale,” the shop owner must include a published end date and the sale must end on that date. Products that are constantly on sale may be removed.

2. Price Reductions

  • If a product’s price is advertised as lower than the normal price (e.g. “formerly $X,” “usually $X,” “regularly $X”), that normal, previous price must be genuine, and cannot mislead customers.
  • A previous price is not considered genuine if a Shop Owner listed a product at a high price, just because he/she wanted to “discount” it down from that falsely high price later.
    • For example:
      • Listing a product for $100. You don’t plan on selling this product for $100, but leave the product up on the site at that price for a few weeks so that later you can put the product on sale, saying, “This product is usually $100, but you can get it right now for only $10!”

Third Party Assets

Due to licensing restrictions, third-party assets such as photos, fonts, and theme frameworks, may not be included in your product files or within layers of your product file(s). If found, these products will be immediately set to draft.

To comply with the license, instead of including the assets themselves, include a clear statement in your product description that informs customers they will need to download the third-party asset prior to using your product and include a link to the third-party asset in your product files.

It is important to keep in mind that many customers purchase a product with the intent to use it commercially, so if your product uses a third-party asset, it should ideally be an asset that can be used in commercial projects.
